UPDATE TO EARLIER REVIEW
Since the initial installation seven years ago, I have had two SolarEdge inverters fail. GCE is not at fault as they don't manufacturethe inverters. SolarEdge provided me with replacement inverters that GCE came and promptly installed for me. Once again, it was a great experience. Francis Beble was very prompt in responding and despite the fact that he thought they would not be able to come for a few weeks, they had a crew at our place the day after the inverter was delivered. Very rare to have a company promise less and deliver more! Way to go GCE Solar.

GC had the lowest quote for the best system! They were very expeditious and had the system installed quickly. Then we had to wait for inspections and approval from our power provider. About 3 weeks after installation we were able to turn on the system. All of our questions were answered in a timely manner. I would highly recommend them!

We went with GC because they offered the best deal with the latest battery at an upfront price and never tried to increase it later by claiming the original price was incorrect, unlike other solar companies. They communicated well regarding the installation schedule, city permit and inspection process, and SCE approval. Great job, GC!

After an exhaustive search through Energysage and other reviews I decided to use GC Electric Solar. From the beginning of the engineering phase all the way through the completion both Seph and Francis kept me up to date and met all their stated goals. They had one of the most competitive prices and the material they used was top quality. You could easily see they have been in the business a long time and are very experienced. Talking to their installation crew also showed loyalty to the owners of the company which reflects very positively on the company. The majority of their installation crew had been working for them for many years and they were not sub-contractors.

After extensive research, phone calls, and reading I found the best solar retailer and installer in California. G C Electric out of San Diego. Top of the line panasonic panels, with the best warranty on the market, two tesla powerwall 3, which other companies said were back ordered, and integration of my existing system were installed. The work was fantastic, installation was amazing, and the price was 15k less than all others, G C has no middle man costs which allows them to truly provide great quality and a great price. They worked with me and made sure to answer all my questions throughout the entire process. There were some small patches needed to my stucco after completion, but that was an easy DIY fix after a trip to lowes. Today I am completely off grid, and my system is producing an average of 74kwh of energy a day, and running off the powerwall 3's at night. G C Electric was one of the best choices I have made. Do yourself a favor, save time and money, and give them a call.

Do you use subcontractors to install my solar panels?

No. We do not use subcontractors for solar panel installs. Every panel, mount, and inverter on your roof is installed by a GC Electric crew.

How long from signing to installation?

Once your permit is issued, 2 to 4 weeks, and the install itself takes one or two days. Permit timing is the variable and it depends on your city. We pull the city permit and handle the utility interconnection, and we'll tell you what your city's turnaround looks like before you sign.

What does the warranty cover?

25 years on equipment and labor, 25 years of remote system monitoring, and 10 years leak-free on the mounting points through your roof. As an REC Certified installer we also offer the REC Pro Trust Warranty.

How does the lowest price guarantee work?

Send us a written quote from another licensed installer and we’ll provide a comparable system at a lower price. Comparable means the same system size, the same panel and inverter tier, and the same warranty coverage.

Do I need money up front?

No. We offer $0 down financing through Wheelhouse Credit Union, Energy Loan Network, and California Coast Credit Union.

How long until my solar system pays for itself?

Typically 5 to 8 years, depending on your usage and your rate plan.

What equipment do you install?

REC, Panasonic, and Canadian Solar panels. Enphase and SolarEdge inverters. Tesla Powerwall, Enphase, and Generac storage. We’re certified by the manufacturers we install, so your 25-year coverage comes from the people who built the equipment.

Do you install EV chargers and panel upgrades?

Yes. ChargePoint, Enel X, and Tesla chargers, plus main electrical panel upgrades when your system needs one.
